Our Staff

Trisha Uehara and Debbie Fox, formerly referred to as the Kimura sisters, were born and raised by Mom, Cathie and Dad, Danny in Kailua, Hawaii.  They are the oldest and youngest of four children.  Along with their appearance, the lives, interests, and passion of these sisters are very similar. Trisha and Debbie both graduated from college with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. Trisha attained her degree from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 1997, and Debbie from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 2004.   Immediately after graduating, Trisha became a teacher at Kaahumanu Elementary, then pursued an opportunity to teach in Japan, and returned home two years later to teach back in their hometown. Debbie graduated from college, taught for three years in Las Vegas, and then returned to teach in Kailua, as well.  If that’s not close enough, they taught together at Kailua Elementary as Kindergarten and First Grade teachers for five years before establishing Wee Achievers Preschool. After twenty combined years of teaching, these “Highly Qualified State of Hawaii” educators decided to pursue their dream of owning and operating their own preschool.  With the combination of their passion for teaching, experience in education, and love for children, the foundation built will be priceless.
